IFFR 1999

Film Festival Rotterdam, January 1999 — the festival's most talked-about edition, and the last one Project A covered this way. We filed from the Hoogstraat as it happened: ten days of reviews, arguments and running jokes, posted within minutes of leaving the cinema, plus a wrap-up at the end.

These are only my own entries, in festival order. Project A ran the guide as a group weblog with Tom Mes, Paul Posse, Hubert Roth and two others, so the numbered entries by the rest of the team are not reproduced here — including the ones that answer mine. Two days, the fifth and the ninth, carry no entries of mine at all, so those pages are absent rather than empty. The photographs that came with these pages were not captured by the archive, so the text stands alone.
